  • Women who want more attractive contour and smaller breast size.

  • Women who want freedom from health problems due to excessively large breasts.

Procedure description.

Performed under general anesthesia at CHRISTUS ST. JOHN HOSPITAL, breast reduction surgery is performed by Dr. Casso using incisions around the pigmented area (nipple-areola complex). The incisions are extended vertically below the nipple and in the fold under the breast. During surgery, the nipple-areola complex is moved upward and excess breast tissue, fat, and skin are removed.

Recuperation and healing.

An overnight stay is generally recommended following breast reduction surgery. Initial discomfort subsides and is controlled with oral medication. Scars usually fade within six to 12 months.
